Class 3/4E

Hello and welcome to Class 3/4E’s page!

I’m Miss Crichton, and I am delighted to be part of such a thoughtful, curious and creative class. Our wonderful teaching assistants are an invaluable part of our team, supporting, encouraging and celebrating the children every step of the way. Together, we work hard to create a warm, nurturing and inspiring classroom where every child feels happy, confident and ready to learn.

In Year 3/4, we spend the year exploring the lives of three influential figures from history. We have already made a fantastic start by stepping into the world of Claudius and learning all about the Romans. Later in the year, we will journey back to Ancient Egypt to discover the life of Cleopatra and uncover the mysteries of Egyptian civilisation. We will then move on to learn about Dr Barnardo and life in Victorian Britain. The children have already shown so much enthusiasm and curiosity, and we cannot wait to see where their learning takes them next!

Throughout these topics, the children produce work that they should be genuinely proud of. They approach their learning with enthusiasm, imagination and determination, and it is wonderful to see their confidence and knowledge grow. In 3/4E, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We love asking big questions, sharing our thoughts and learning from one another during our daily check-ins. We enjoy being creative, discovering how our minds work and finding ways to support each other both in and out of the classroom. 

Reading is a huge part of life in 3/4E. We love sharing stories, discovering fascinating new facts and getting lost in exciting books together. Every day, we explore high-quality texts that spark our imagination, broaden our vocabulary and inspire us as learners. There is nothing better than seeing a child find a book they simply cannot put down!

We are looking forward to a year filled with laughter, learning, challenge and success. Thank you for visiting our page, and we look forward to sharing our 3/4E journey with you throughout the year.
